Join Matt Caputo with author Chris Belden at Greenwood Features on Saturday, June 7, 202,5 for a screening of “A Little White Lie” (starring Michael Shannon, Kate Hudson, and Don Johnson). 

Afterward, we’ll chat with Chris, a Ridgefield, Conn. resident, about his novel “Shriver,” which serves as the basis of the film. Chris is an excellent writer and teache,r and we're expecting an interesting afternoon. 

In the film and book, Shriver, a down-on-his-luck handyman who's never read a book in his life, gets mistaken for a famous writer who's been in hiding for more than 20 years. 

With nothing to lose, he accepts an invitation to a college literary festival and soon finds himself surrounded by adoring fans and an English professor who captures his heart.

The Booksmiths Shoppe of Danbury will be selling copies of “Shriver” at the cinema to purchase and have signed by Chris. Watch the film that was inspired by the novel and chat with the author afterward.
